Contraceptives

“My boyfriend does not want to use a condom and I don’t want to get pregnant. He says that he will ejaculate outside me and that I cannot get pregnant. My friend said that I still can. Who is right?”

Let me start by saying that it only takes 1 sperm to get you pregnant. Before ejaculation or orgasm occurs there are often sperm at the tip of the penis. So, to answer your question YES you can get pregnant if you do not use a condom even if he ejaculates outside your vagina.

However there are more issues than getting pregnant. You can contract STD’s – Sexually Transmitted Diseases. These can effect your fertility eg Chlamydia to even kill you eg HIV / AIDS.

If you are in a relationship and can be sure that your partner is completely faithful, you can always use alternative methods of protection such as :-

  • The Pill
  • The Diaphram
  • Spermicide
  • IUD / Coil
  • Implant
  • Sterilization

Why not head to your GP or Nurse for some advice on contraceptives that is best suited to your needs? Alternatively, you can purchase online also. (See the link below)

“I never know what to buy my husband. He always buys anything he wants as soon as he wants it. It is his birthday and I am stuck for a gift. Any ideas?”

It is never easy buying a present for a bloke. You could do things which are special but cost nothing. Things such as :-

  • Run a bath with bath salts and candles
  • A romantic meal again complete with candles and soft music
  • Go for a picnic under the stars

Another alternative is to get him a voucher from places like BuyaGift, I Want One Of Those Ltd, Virgin Experience Days or even the Gadgetshop.com.

I have added a few links so you can go direct to the websites. Good Luck!

Hairy

“I am really hairy and I hate it. I have thought about shaving it all off but heard that I can end up with more hair and very stubbly. I have hair all over my body including my back, my arms and my tummy and it is really upsetting me!”

First of all I would like to reassure you that most women feel far too hairy in our modern western society. We go to all extreems to be hair free. We shave, wax and epilate. Sometimes going afar as laser technology to ensure our hairlessness.

I would first check out with your GP that the hairiness that you currently are experiencing is not hormonal or another issue. With a quick check and perhaps a bloodtest or two, you can be sure you are medically sound.

Then if you still feel uncomfortably hairy, you can always head to your beauty salon and ask their advice. I am sure they will offer you the best course of action to take.

Besides, don’t worry too much about it. You are in the same boat as most other women! ;)

Money Woes!

“I am in big financial trouble. I owe a lot of money and I cannot seem to make ends meet. I owe money on my credit cards and I owe money to my friends. And it is really getting me down. I just do not know what to do. I am besides myself. I know you cannot help me but I really do not know where to turn. What can I do? Please help!”

First of all, let me reassure you that the amount of people who actually owe money is higher than you can probably realise. I know this does not solve your money issues. But it does mean that banks and money lenders are aware of the situation and may be able to help you.

Adverse Bad Credit Mortages and Loans can make you feel like you are never going to get out of it. However, if you sit down and plan your debts, you may find that it is not so bad. Do add up what you owe and borrow it from 1 lender. This way you only need to pay 1 loan each month. You will also be able to pay off your friends and keep your friendship sweet.

Do try to go with the lowest interest rate you can find. By paying off a little more than the minimum payment, you will pay off your debts sooner.

And if you are afraid of falling into further debt – tear up any credit cards that you may have.

There is a way out of the situation you are in. By recognising it, you can start to put your life back together again. You will soon begin to feel better and far less depressed. Good Luck.

University

“I have not been accepted at University. I am feeling really disappointed. I do not know what to do!”

I am sorry that you have not been accepted at University this year. However, there is always another opportunity next year. Meanwhile, you should make the most of this year as a gap year. You should set aside sometime to improve your results for next year. However, you can make the most of this year by getting work experience and some extra cash to help you through the lean times of university. Or why not go travelling and gaining a world of experience.

You might be surprised, it might work out being a positive thing in the long run!

3 times the trick!

“I always need to do things three times. I feel that three times does the trick. However sometimes it can be time consuming because if it is not done right, I have to do it again from the beginning. How do I ensure it is always done right immediately so that it won’t take long?”

It sounds like you are suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or commonly known as OCD. You do need to seek professional help. I cannot give you a way to do things right immediately but with treatment and the right medication, you may find you won’t need to do things more than once. However, I do urge you to seek medical help.

I don’t like travelling

“I dread going on holiday. I don’t mind when I get there. I just don’t like getting there and back. I don’t like travelling on a plane. I have to drink till I am almost drunk to get on a plane. I know it is not logical but I just seem to break out in fear when I have to fly. I keep saying next year it will be different. But it is not, and the only way is to drink to oblivion before flying. Is this normal?”

It sounds like you have a phobia of flying. This is a pretty common phobia where around 1 in 5 may suffer from it. It is also the most commonly treated phobia. There are courses which you can attend which can help you over come your phobia.

You may also speak to your doctor who may be able to give you an anti-anxiety tablet to take before flying. Do not drink alcohol before flying as besides an airline being able to refuse to board you, alcohol effects are multiplied due to the pressurisation. This can have adverse effects on your health.

You best bet is to speak to your GP who can refer you to a course of treatment or give you anti-anxiety tablets.

Bon Voyage!

Baby is always crying

“My baby is always crying. I cannot stop her. She seems to be crying all day long. I don’t know what to do. She is driving me up the wall.”

First of all speak to your health visitor, midwife or gp to rule out any problems with your daughter. Then let them know how you are feeling. It sounds like you might be suffering from post natal depression. It can be managed very easily but you need to seek help. And it does get better. Honestly.

“I Can’t”

“I cannot seem to get myself to do things. I trudge along. If its the weekend, I slump in front of TV and do nothing all day. Even at work, all I seem to do is stare at my pc screen. My work is suffering as a result too. I cannot think and I feel sad all the time. I just want to crawl under the duvet and stay there.”

It sounds like you might be suffering from depression. If you have been feeling like this for a while, I would recommend talking to your GP or going to a counsellor or psychologist. Depression can take over your life.

If it is over a day or two only, you might be suffering from PMT. Eat some chocolates and curly up with a good book. A nice warm bath helps too.

Whatever you do, try to avoid alcohol or you could feel worse.
